Distance Education(DE) in one form of another has existed for millenia, as there were correspondence learning of one form or another between those that sought out knowledge from one society or another. As we I was reading through some of the introductory aspects of DE, I saw that DE in some form has existed for several generations, additionally one can see the continued evolution (And rapid expansion)of DE due to technological advances and societal needs. In beginning to understand DE, its role in the past and potential in the future I believe visualizing the evolution and key aspects in the history of DE will be of great boon.
